I dreamed a dream the other night
A magic dream where things took flight
Where mermaids swam the ocean blue
And there was always lots to do
An indian tribe on hilltop sat
And on the coast some pirates bet
Through the trees swung little boys
Nature’s goods they used as toys
But all too soon I had to leave
And upon waking I bent to grieve
Yet one small glance at the TV
Promised Peter’d come back for you and me
circa 2003
